Don't expect to be good at maths or understand things straight away. Be patient and persistent. Rome wasn't built in a day, but they worked on it every single day. 

Tough times never last, but tough people do.

Practice makes comfort. Expand your experiences regularly so every stretch won't feel like your first.

Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

You can hire a tutor but you can't hire someone to practice for you.
