Don't expect to be good at maths or understand things straight away. Be patient and persistent. Rome wasn't built in a day, but they worked on it every single day. 

Try and do one thing each day that you would really rather not do.

There is great wisdom in being able to realise that you don’t understand something before it goes too far.

Instead of finding reasons why you can't, find reasons why you can.
